Three generations on the same roads.
Moon Ways began in the 1980s at the junction where the provinces meet. The Cheema family has been running it ever since.
The story
Moon Ways begins at a junction where Punjab meets Sindh — the crossing that every road between the provinces has to pass through. We watched the country move past our door, and saw how little of it was built for the person who simply had to get somewhere. So we put a bus on the road.
That first service ran in the 1980s under the name Moon Cheema: non-AC buses on the roads out of the junction. The name changed and the buses changed; the family did not. Today, as Moon Ways, we run some of the most premium buses in Pakistan.

Today
Moon WaysSleeper berths, Premium Plus sofa seats, Executive and Mini Bus, from Islamabad to Karachi.
Why we started
Pakistan is a country people cross constantly — for work, for family, for study, for trade. Private vehicles are expensive enough to be out of reach for most of them, and the intercity road is long: five hours, ten hours, a night.
Moon Ways was started to close that gap, and the thought has not changed since: run buses good enough that nobody feels they are travelling cheaply, at a fare that does not put the journey out of reach. That is what the four classes are for — the Mini Bus on the afternoon run to Multan, the Sleeper that leaves you in Karachi with the morning.
Still at the junction
The buses are newer than they were and the motorway is quicker than the old road. The reason has not moved an inch. We are still at the junction, and we are still going strong.
What we run
Four ways to travel, from the daytime Mini Bus to the all-night sleeper. The bus changes; the welcome does not.
- Mini Bus — Sadiqabad to Multan and Bahawalpur, through the day.
- Executive — two-by-two reclining seats throughout.
- Premium Plus — nine sofa seats in a two-plus-one front section, Executive seating behind.
- Sleeper — berths in upper and lower tiers, for travelling overnight.
More than seats
Moon Ways Cargo carries parcels and goods in the hold of the same buses, between our terminals. And any of our buses can be hired by a group, with its crew, for weddings, tours, school trips and company travel. See cargo and group hire.
Watched over, all the way
Every Moon Ways bus carries a driver, a guard and a hostess, a tracker and cameras on board, and our central control room keeps watch on every bus while it is on the road. Long routes carry two drivers. Our buses are maintained in our own workshop. More on the safety page.
Where we go
The network runs out of Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan and Khanpur, reaching Bahawalpur, Multan, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Khairpur, Mirpur Mathelo, Larkana, Hyderabad and Karachi. Routes and frequencies change with the season, so the departures on the booking page are the ones to trust.
How booking works
Reserve a seat here, on WhatsApp or on the UAN, then buy your ticket at the terminal counter. Booked seats are cancelled automatically three hours before departure unless the ticket has been purchased, and on the day you should arrive at least 20 minutes before departure to collect it. There is no card payment and no online gateway. The full rules are in our terms of travel.
Ownership
Moon Ways is the intercity bus business of Cheema Group, and has been in the same family since the first bus.
